Becoming Me

Life can be hard as a teenager. When teenagers get caught up in popularity it can be hard to figure things out. Melody Carlson's Becoming Me amazed me with the tale within.

The theme of the book is that sometimes people can get to caught up in popularity that they ignor the important things. Caitlin gets caught up in popularity and forgets her friendship with Beanie. Popularity was a hard temptation for Caitlin.

The style of the book is that of a journal. As I flipped through the pages I felt like I was reading the journal of a teenager. The journal seemed to give the intimate details of the life of Caitlin O'Connor.

I recommend this book to every teenage girl. It gives lessons that every teen should learn. This book was fantastic.

Julius Caesar

Julius Caesar is a tyrant that has lots of control over Roman society. William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar amazed me with the eloquent style.

The playwright's style was that of eloquence. Most of the play was written in iambic pentaminer. The playwright's style is one that is hard to understand.

The theme of the play is when a person gets too much power bad things will happen. The theme is taught by the deaths in the play. The theme is also relayed by the killing of Julius Caesar.

I recommend this play to those who like Shakespeare. I also think those who like hard to understand plays would love it.

A True Leader

What makes a true leader? Who knows? A true leader is someone who is followed by people.

A true leader has many followers. True leaders convince their followers to follow them at all costs. True leaders will do anything to obtain a following.

A true leader can be good or bad. A true leader can easily make a following. A true leader will always have followers.

A few true leaders are presidents, dictators, and such. Parents, and other family members can be true leaders.

Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy

Cammie's troubles she gets into seem to involve a particular group of boys living the semester in the Gallagher mansion. The boys school truelly does exist. Ally Carter's Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy amazed me with the mishaps within.

The theme of the book is that sometimes in life there is need to work well with others. Some may not work well with others if they have never had to do it before.

The plot begins. When Cammie arrieves after Christmas break, the east wing is locked. Later, she snoops and over hears something about Blackthorne. On a mission in D.C. she finds that there will be boys in the Gallagher Academy. A code black happens during the all school exam. This causes Cam, Liz, Bex, and Macey to wonder if the boys are going to plan to infiltrate the Gallagher Academy.

This book had high points and low points. The book should be read by all those who like girl spy books. The book might be good for anyone, I am not sure.

Oh the Holiday Spirit of A Three Year old

My baby brother is three, and just now getting where he enjoys Christmas. Last year what scared him about Christmas is waht he enjoys about Christmas this year. Oh the spirit of a three year old is exciting to watch.

This was the first year he got his picture taken with Santa Claus. O what a sight he was sitting on Santa's lap in the picture. He was so excited he got to tell Santa what he wanted for Christmas. Last year he was really afraid of Santa. Now he is looking forward to Santa coming.

This year, my brother got excited about decorating the tree. He seems really fascinated with the tree. He says phrases such as,"That a Christmas tree,Sissy." He loves the angel on top of the tree.

The boy has a fascination with Christmas, I wish I could have again. Sometimes I wish I could be his age again. Everything about the Christmas spirit seems new at that age. Now, at my age, all people seem to care about is greed. I wish we were ll like three year olds, enjoying Christmas, for the trees, Santa pictures, Santa coming, and angels on trees.
